Arne Carter

Arne Carter

c/o General Manager

Arne is Teton Whitewater’s loveable manager/head honcho. Born on the banks of a mystical river, Arne loves kayaking, rafting, laughing, and singing interpretatively. Something interesting about Arne is that he’s a real Norwegian Viking, red beard & all! He is fluent in English, Chinese, and sarcasm. Arne has YEARS of experience on the river and knows it like the back of his hand, believe it or not, he has done over 2,000 runs on the Snake River.

Kenzie Zenger

Kenzie Zenger

General Manager

Kenzie is an avid outdoorsman and loves rivers, cycling, and backpacking. In the off-season, she is studying to be a violin maker! Kenzie is awesome at keeping people safe and absolutely loves showing people the Snake River and what it has to offer. She is also a firm believer that salt and vinegar chips and Dr. Pepper is the best combo.

Jake Gregory

Jake Gregory

Operations Manager

Jake lives a true dirtbag life and is a lover of the outdoors. He has a passion for the river like no one you’ve ever seen before; he’s run more river sections than you can count on 2 hands! In his off time, you can find Jake shredding in the snow and teaching others how to shred as a ski instructor! If he’s not there, he’s probably backcountry skiing somewhere. Most people would say his wife Naomi is his better half.

Terran Hood

Terran Hood

Guide

A go with the flow kind of guy that is happy to be anywhere in nature. From Reno, Nevada Terran grew up racing mountain bikes and recently fell in love with rivers and rock walls. On the weekends you can find him in the woods hunched over a sandwich. His goal in life is to make sandwiches like Shaggy and Scooby Doo.

Harlan Otto

Harlan Otto

Bus Driver

Harlan is a school bus driver. He loves riding bikes, building wood projects, & being outdoors in the mountains. He’s very dedicated and is determined to get you to your river trip safely!

Braxton Miskin

Braxton Miskin

Guide

Hey Y’all! This is Braxton, but you can call him Brax. After spending his childhood in many corners of Idaho, he just finished college in St. George, Utah, and is now just another guy on the river. (6’4 ½” btw)

Ben Zenger

Ben Zenger

Guide

From playing soccer and working on his undergrad to traveling across Europe with an American Folk dance team, and even reaching 5th place nationally in Subway Surfers, Ben has explored a wide range of hobbies. But one passion that’s stuck with him is rafting. He’s been running this river since he was just four years old, and he has no plans of stopping anytime soon.

Thomas Zenger

Thomas Zenger

Guide

Some people say life is like a river, but for Thomas the river is life.  He first ran the Snake at three years old and has gone on to run rivers across the West.  Thomas enjoys big mountain skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, fly-fishing, and making the world’s best grilled cheese sandwich.  Ask him about his favorite river trip. El habla Español.

Linnea Erikson

Linnea Erikson

Guide

Linnea is lucky number four in the Erikson sibling takeover of Teton Whitewater—at this point, we’re just saving a seat for the family dog. She spent her childhood summers in Jackson purely for the rafting (and maybe the snacks), and clearly, the obsession stuck. When she’s not guiding boats, she’s probably disappearing into the wilderness with a backpack and a questionable sense of direction but don’t worry, she always finds her way back… eventually.

Nick Erikson

Nick Erikson

Guide

As a man fond of rivers, rafting and pie, Nick had no other choice but to become the greatest pie eater on the planet. Oh, and to be a river guide. He has a deep love for nature and will often disappear to meditate with the trees. He can also be found climbing, kayaking, skiing, or hiking around the mountains. Nick is currently a student at Utah State University and loves learning about people’s professions! If you are on his boat make sure to either bring him pie or tell him about your dream jobs!

Melody Stevens

Melody Stevens

Guide

Melody loves being outside, and playing her violin, sometimes at the same time! She just graduated with a degree in violin performance, and when she’s not fiddling around, she enjoys hiking, canyoneering, slacklining, reading, hanging out with friends, and RAFTING! She’s always down for an adventure, mildly addicted to trail mix, and somehow manages to stay upright on both rivers and slacklines (most of the time).

Rollie Johnson-Schunk

Rollie Johnson-Schunk

Guide

Rollie grew up in Madison, WI. He has been in the Teton area since 2019. He is thrilled to be river guiding with the Teton Whitewater team this season. Rollie attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with a business degree. In the winter, Rollie can be found teaching ski lessons at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. He also enjoys snowboarding and Nordic skiing. This summer he will be hiking, mountain biking, and grilling.

Jessie Parker

Jessie Parker

Office Manager

Raised in Eastern Idaho, Jessie has been exploring the outdoors since day one. Whether she’s hiking a scenic trail, casting a fishing line, or planning the perfect travel itinerary, Jessie is always dreaming up her next outdoor adventure.. Jessie loves sharing her favorite trails, travel tips, and hidden gems to help others plan unforgettable adventures.

Stian Asper

Stian Asper

Guide

Joining the team from St. Paul, Minnesota, Stian trades the still Northwood lakes for the wild rapids of Western Wyoming. During the year, Stian spends his time running and studying at the University of Redlands, in Southern California, and majors in Environmental Studies, and Economics. He loves running, cycling, backpacking, climbing, and making new friends! Spør meg om mitt år i Norge!

Adael (Addie) Ashment

Adael (Addie) Ashment

Guide

She doesn’t need a therapist, just two wheels, a mountain trail, and the occasional near-death experience to feel alive. Born in Wyoming and now living in Idaho, she basically grew up in the wild, like a mountain goat but with better hair. If she’s indoors for too long, someone should probably check on her, she might be planning an escape.

Scottie Bushar

Scottie Bushar

Scottie grew up exploring the deserts and mountains of southern Utah. When he’s not in Jackson, he’s attending college and spending his time hiking, climbing, rappelling, and playing pickleball. If he’s not on the river, he’s probably planning his next trip into the mountains.

Sarah Hales

Sarah Hales

Meet Sarah! A big fan of backpacking, indie folk music, and any trip that requires a backpack and a little too much adventure — proven by tearing her ACL skiing this past winter. When she’s not working in the office, you’ll usually find her exploring mountain towns, chasing sunsets, or searching for the best trail snacks. After backpacking through Croatia, she developed a serious travel addiction and hasn’t slowed down since.

Summer Hansen

Summer Hansen

Guide

This Summer is pretty lit, especially as one of our guides. Summer decided to take the term “seasonal” past just her name and has applied it to her work. She enjoys working on the river in the summer and leading ski trips in the winter.

Ridge Skidmore

Ridge Skidmore

Guide

Ridge grew up in a tiny Utah town where “family vacation” meant hiking 40 miles through the mountains instead of relaxing on a beach like a normal family. Alongside his parents, siblings, and dog (plus enough muddy buddies to feed a small army), Ridge learned to love the outdoors — and embrace mildly questionable decision-making. From laid-back camping trips to full-on sufferfests in the Tetons (ask about the water filter fiasco), he’s been chasing adventure ever since. These days, Ridge has his head in the clouds with dreams of becoming a helicopter pilot — but don’t worry, he’ll come back down long enough to get you down the river safely (and with a smile on your face). Y también el habla español!!

Jackson Redder

Jackson Redder

Guide

Jackson grew up in the mean cul-de-sacs of Spokane, Washington. Once conquered, he moved to Bozeman, Montana, where he got two degrees: One in yard saleing from Bridger Bowl University and one in Accounting/Marketing from Montana State University. Jackson is the camp champion of the card game Cambeo and is an aspiring champion of billiards. In Jackson’s shadow era, he lived in Dunedin, New Zealand, where he became semi-pro at kiwi slang and meatball sub cheffing. After mastering the art of rafting, Jackson hopes to become a professional ski patroller and EMT while learning to cook real food and speak Spanish. Jackson is conversational in American Sign Language.
